Each year, the Wilmington
Jaycees work in conjunction with the West
End Neighborhood house to give needy Wilmington families a complete
Thanksgiving dinner. We collect all of items needed and then assemble the
baskets on the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving.
There are several ways you can help:
- Help us collect donated food at a
grocery store food drive TBA.
- Hold a food drive at work to collect food and/or money
- Ask your employer for a donation
- Bring donated food to the October and November membership meetings
- Help us assemble the baskets at the
West End Neighborhood House, located at 710 N. Lincoln St. in
Wilmington, November 17th at 8:30am.
- You may make a tax deductible donation - make
the check payable to the West End Neighborhood House and mail it to
1309 N. Scott St. Wilmington DE 19806 or hand deliver it to any board
member.
Please bring the following items to a Jaycee event
starting in October:
Canned Vegetables and Corn
Cranberry Sauce
Stuffing
Gravy
Boxed Dessert Mix
For every can of corn, green vegetables, gravy, or cranberry sauce you
bring to the October membership meeting, one raffle ticket will be entered
into a drawing for a valuable door prize.
We are please to announce a partnership with Delaware
