Phil
currently serves as the Director of the Clarence Fraim
Boys & Girls Club on Union Street which provides a
variety of programs and services to over 2,000
disadvantaged children.
Phil began his career at
Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown
where he served as a teacher/program coordinator in the
school age child care program. He supervised a design of
a learning environment and curriculum to meet
educational and social development issues.
He then worked as the
Education Director at the H. Fletcher Brown
Boys & Girls
Club in Wilmington where he ran the educational program
providing tutoring and drop out prevention services for
disadvantaged youth in one of the
poorest neighborhoods
in Wilmington. As the Educational Director, President
George W. Bush visited the program to learn of the work
he was doing for intercity disadvantaged youth in the
area of education.
Shortly thereafter, he
took on the position of Future Stars Director, a program
which combined athletics and education designed to
encourage teenagers to take one step towards advanced
education upon successfully completing high school.
Through his efforts several youth attend college today.
He has been elected by his
peers as the Chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs
Professional Association, a statewide organization
devoted to the professional needs of the 100 plus staff
in Delaware.
Phil is also involved with other civic organizations.
He was recently elected president of the Kiwanis Club
where he has been a member since 2000.
Phil is 29 and currently resides in Wilmington with his
wife, Seniqua, has received a B.S. Degree from
Wilmington College. He is currently taking classes at
Clemson University.
